Welcome to the Murad Skintellectual community!

This is a collaboration between you and Murad and we can't wait to see you talking about our brand. As a ‘Muradvocate’, you'll play a crucial role in championing our products/services and helping us reach new heights. Here's what we expect from you:

When posting on social media, you must include:

a. Tags to all relevant Murad channels @muradskincare

b. Brand hashtags #muradskintellectual and #muradvocate

c. Imagery that is respectful and appropriate for all audiences

d. #ad disclosure. By becoming part of this community you agree to comply with applicable laws including guidance issued by the UK Advertising Standards Authority regarding disclosure of paid advertising. Following ASA guidelines, please use #ad across all your content. For more information and guidance on influencer marketing, please see here

e. Co-operate fully with the Murad

f. Use reasonable care and skill in the provision of the services you are supplying on the Murad Skintellectual community

g. Not retouch your skin or images in any materials supplied to Murad or posted

h. Ensure appropriate disclosures are used when posting on behalf of Murad or as part of your participation in the Murad Skintellectual community

i. Not do or say anything for whatever reason which is or may reasonably be considered by Murad to be detrimental or prejudicial to Murad, or which may reasonably be considered by Murad to: (i) adversely affect their commercial reputation or business; or (ii) bring them into disrepute

j. Not include any music in your materials unless use of this music is fully licensed

When posting on social media, you must not include:

a. References to products/services from any other brands.

b. Mentions, images or references to any offensive, harmful, or illegal content.

c. Degenerative comments towards competitors, employees, social personalities or religious characters.

d. Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights or privacy of any third party.

We will monitor the Murad Skinfluencer community. If you do anything that is or could reasonably be construed as being unlawful or contrary to these terms, we may remove you from the community immediately.

As a member of the Murad Skintellectual community you are agreeing that any content you submit to the program may be used and re-purposed by Murad and any relevant or associated retailers for promotional, marketing and advertising purposes, both online and offline, without any compensation beyond the benefits provided as part of Murad Skintellectual community.

Commission and Promo codes: • You may be invited to participate in our commission scheme. If you are invited to participate, you will need to sign-up and create an account with our third-party provider, Duel. • Upon successful completion of sign up, you will be given a unique promotional code. • Commissions shall be payable once a month and upon signing up to the Murad Skintellectual community, you will have access to a unique dashboard page to view your referrals and pending commission. • This Promo Code may be shared with your Social followers only. The Promo Code is not to be shared via voucher code websites, nor sold or exchanged for monetary or other value. Murad reserves the right to remove the offer at any time if we deem the voucher code is misused, or if we discontinue, limit or change the terms of the Murad Skintellectual community.

In order for your Social followers to redeem a Promo Code that person must:

  1. Make a purchase on the Murad website
  2. Redeem the Promo Code before the expiry date stated with the Promo Code
  3. The Promo Code can only be used once and for their first purchase. The Promo Code cannot be used on already-discounted products, nor in conjunction with any other offer or code.

Murad reserves the right to modify the terms of the Murad Skintellectual community at any time without prior notice, and any substantive changes will be communicated to you via an email.

Discount: • As part of the Murad Skintellectual community you may be given a discount on our products (the ‘Discount’), which is for personal use only. • Complimentary products or products purchased by you using the discount are for personal use only, and none of the foregoing may be resold or exchanged under any circumstances. Any returns will take into account the discount that was applied. If we become aware that you are re-selling the products we reserve the right to revoke the Discount, Promo Code and Commission with immediate effect. We also respectfully point out the damaging effect this could have on our relationship going forward.

Data: One of the great benefits of becoming part of the Murad Skintellectual community is that you get to hear all about our new products, special offers, events, and skincare and selfcare tips should you wish to. We need your consent to send you these promotional emails, which you would have already provided if you opted-in to receiving marketing emails when you signed up to Murad. You can change your mind about receiving these emails by using the unsubscribe function at the bottom of the email.

How your data will be used: Murad Europe UK will be the data controller of the personal data you provide to us when you apply to become part of the Murad Skintellectual community and, if you are successful, of any personal data you provide to us whilst you are a member.

The Murad Skintellectual community is run by a trusted third party (Duel) on behalf of Murad Europe Limited, accordingly any personal data provided to Duel will be governed by Duel’s privacy policy . If you would like to apply to join (and if your application is successful, participate in) the Murad Skintellectual community, please review these brand terms and also Duel’s privacy policy and (only if you agree to the processing of your personal data as set out in these brand terms and also Duel’s privacy policy ) sign below.

Termination: You or Murad are able to delete your Murad Skintellectual account at any time. Your partnership may be terminated by Murad if:

  1. You fail to post at least once on your IG Grid within 30 days after receiving your Murad product.
  2. Your account is inactive for a period of 3 months or longer.
  3. You fail to meet the program expectations, which may include but is not limited to: a. posting or submitting content that is of low quality. b. posting or submitting content that doesn’t adhere to our Murad guidelines. c. posting or submitting content that doesn’t meet the terms outlined above

Commission

You will have the opportunity to earn commission on purchases made through your affiliate link.

You will be able to keep track of commission owed to you within your portal's homepage, but please bear in mind that this figure may change from time to time, in order to account for cancelled/part-refunded orders.

Your commission will be paid 45 days after the order was placed to account for returns and processing, via PayPal. We will be sending payments to the email address you used to sign up to this program.

If you do not have a PayPal account linked to this email address, you can easily redeem your commission by creating a PayPal account when the payment is sent to you.

Alternatively, if you'd like to change your Murad Skintellectual email address to the same as your pre existing PayPal account you can easily do so via Settings within the portal:

General

Click "Edit profile" to access your profile page and then you will be able to update your profile picture and/or display name.

Using the program

You can keep track of member invitations via your portal's homepage. If someone has submitted an application to the program via your unique invitation link, you will notice your "pending" number increase. If you are not seeing this, make sure the person you invited has successfully submitted the application form and verified their email address. As applications are reviewed manually, please allow time for our team to review the request. You will only be rewarded if the person you invite is accepted into the program.

Referrals, affiliates and commission

Once you make it past (pre-commission tier), you will have the opportunity to earn commission on any purchases made through your personal Member Page, affiliate link or referral code.

You will be able to keep track of commission owed to you within your portal's homepage, but please bear in mind that this figure may change from time to time, in order to account for cancelled/part-refunded orders.

Missions

Moderation usually takes 24 hours but can in some situations take up to 72 hours. There may be slightly longer wait times over weekends and during national holidays.

At the bottom of the Missions page, you can view the Missions you have already completed.

This means that this is a repeatable Mission. You will be able to complete this same Mission more than once. The amount of times you can complete a specific Mission may vary (for example once per week), and this information will be in the Mission.

After submitting an Instagram Post Mission, it will automatically move to the 'Awaiting Approval' stage. Please wait for up to 5 minutes.

If you receive a notification in the notification tab confirming successful completion, your task submission was successful. However, if the notification indicates rejection due to missing hashtags and/or mentions, ensure that you include the requested mention and all specified hashtags before resubmitting.

Using the app

There will be a set number of times that a repeatable Mission can be completed. You will be able to find this information within the Mission.

There are a few reasons why your Instagram post may say it cannot be recognised:

  • Please ensure that your account is set to public. Since our platform automatically scans and retrieves information from Instagram, we ask that you please change your account settings to public for the posting of the photo. After submission and the Mission has been approved, you can change your account back to private and you will retain your points.
  • Double-check that if the Mission is asking for multiple hashtags, that they are all included in the post. Hashtags must be included in the post caption, rather than the comments section, in order for the post to be recognised. See also hashtag usage tips.
  • Please make sure that the post you are submitting for the Mission as evidence is a new post as the system may not pick it up if it is too old.

Rewards

You will need to copy the promo code directly from your Rewards tab and paste it into your basket at checkout. Please double check the terms of the code before applying it. Some promo codes are only valid for a specific set of products or for a minimum basket spend, for example.

Social

Hashtags are not case-sensitive but they do need to be spelt correctly for us to identify your social media posts.

We recommend using the Copy button provided with task instructions to ensure hashtags are formatted and spelt correctly.
